Top 10 Viral Videos of All Time
By LA2DAY FOR LA2DAY.COM 27 Mar 2008

Is it just me or does it seem like the world is slowly beginning to evolve around that most mysterious and intangible force: the internet? More and more Americans are getting their news and entertainment fix not from their television, but online. Heck, we're even going so far as to figure out how to hook the internet up to our TV's so we can watch YouTube or whatever other viral video of the moment on the big screen, with the ones we love and a carton of ice cream.
So what exactly is a viral video? It's a video clip of content which gains widespread popularity through the process of Internet sharing, typically through email, IM messages, blogs, and other media sharing websites. Viral videos are often humorous in nature and may range from televised comedy sketches such as Saturday Night Live's Lazy Sunday, to unintentionally released amateur video clips like Star Wars Kid.
According to the BBC, these are the Top 10 Viral Videos of all time:

Dear Guest, Or,
Dear Guest,
Or, temp@temporaryinbox.com, as you like to shield yourself, feel free to express your opinion, however get your facts straight as our writer clearly mentioned BBC as the source for this list. And of course other media have also used this list after that. However the BBC was first.
For our readers: temporaryinbox.com is a disposable email address account, which doesn't require registration. This email address is used in forums, lotteries, erotic sites, etc by people who want to remain anonymous, according to that website.

LA2DAY has no credibility
LA2DAY has no credibility and your editors are fucking idiots.
Stop stealing from MSNBC and trying to pass off their content as your own.
Kollaboration is not a "school talent show"
BURIED as inaccurate.
Star Wars Kid is an
Star Wars Kid is an interesting phenomenon. Until recently I forgot it was older than Youtube, which made it all the cooler. When it first came out in early spring 2003 people actually used to edit it and make Matrix parodies out of it despite there existing no user controlled video sites at that time.
I think it may very well be the video that necessitated Youtube's arrival in the world.I can't remember any video before it getting so much universal attention whether from fellow nerds or pure haters, and all the edits that came out of it were overpowering in a world where the only videos people saw had to go through some video site's webmaster or you had to post it on your own server and spread the news of it yourself. Nowadays the mass spread of popular videos and their inevitable edits are common practice, but if the world had never had a video that transcended the realm of the average viral link back then, Youtube might not exist now.
All hail Star Wars Kid.
You have to give credit
You have to give credit where credit is due. The top viral video given the state of the internet was hands down the dancing baby, circa 1996. Nothing else compares to the havoc that video caused on mail servers all over the globe, as it was forwarded from person to person.
