Flip UltraHD Camera Review : LA2DAY Comes at You in High Definition

These days, everything is getting faster, smaller, and better. Only a few years ago, a high-definition video camera would cost thousands of dollars, and would certainly not have been portable.

Enter the Flip UltraHD camera. If you've been keeping up with our adventures here at LA2DAY, you're already familiar with what it can do. It's about the size of a micro cassette recorder, and is actually smaller than a lot of handheld portable still cameras.

The beauty of the device is the ease of its use. A giant red button for record, a trash can for those moments you'd rather not preserve, and a playback button. There's a slight zoom, but it's hardly necessary. Equally easy is the process of importing the video back to your computer once you've shot it. A USB port slips out of the side and plugs in. The software opens automatically, and soon you've got your footage, ready for the cutting room floor.

And what great footage it is. All of the things you've seen and done that day (the camera holds two hours at a time) in full HD resolution. One minute, we're filming at the Diversity Awards and you run in to Cheryl Burke (Dancing With the Stars) or Mikalah Gordon (American Idol), the next we're at the Pelican Hill golf course trying to sink a putt, and the camera is right there with us, capturing things in crystal clear detail.

We plan to continue using our UltraHD camera to bring the scenes behind our words to life. As we wrap the words around the pictures and videos, we hope that you'll keep coming back for some excellent exclusive content.
