World's First LIVE Webcam Dance Party
By LA2DAY FOR LA2DAY.COM 28 Mar 2008

A little event that hatched on the top floor of the US Bank building (home of webcam social network Stickam.com) in downtown Los Angeles, Top Floor is now a fully interactive dance club event broadcast live worldwide via the Internet.
Arriving on http://www.thetopfloorlive.com, participants can view and/or
log in to the show. Once in and connected to The Top Floor video chat
room, they are viewing a live video stream showcasing the dance event. As
the audience members interact with each other during the broadcast, some
choose to enable their personal web cams to connect into slots reserved in
the show. Any person who has elected to stream themselves dancing to the
live DJ mix is now a potential star in the program. The host of the show, "The Reverend Ben-Jammin' Hughes", engages viewers and ensures that they feel connected to the
experience.
Co-Creator Caton Volk says, "For generations people have tuned in their
televisions to the likes of American Band Stand, Soul Train and MTV's The
Grind. The Top Floor is a natural and progressive step toward the future
of this genre as well as a step into the future of entertainment. It
pushes the experience of these other programs off the television set and
into the virtual world allowing a global audience to interact
instantaneously with each other."
The party is LIVE every Friday night from 10p.m. to 1a.m. PST. Where? At Dragonfly, 6510 Santa Monica Blvd,Hollywood, CA 90038. Or visit http://www.thetopfloorlive.com.
