Weekly Rotgut: The Kentucky Turban
By LA2DAY FOR LA2DAY.COM 07 Jul 2008

Yesterday I stumbled upon a fine recipe for a quirky drink called the "Kentucky Turban". It instantly caught my attention because it reeked of irony. The blending of a southern state and the formal headwear of those we oh-so enjoy bombing was just too good to pass up. So, if Independence day left you feeling a little more simpatico for our eastern neighbors then guzzle down a couple of these. I wish we humans could blend in as harmoniously as the ingredients in this drink do.
The Kentucky Turban
1 ounce of bourbon
2 ounces organic chai concentrate
2 ounces of "lite" coconut milk
An orange slice
Load a highball glass with ice. Pour in each ingredient, one after the other, and fancy it up with an orange slice. Sit back, play some Cat Stevens records and enjoy your harmonious beverage.
