MGMT (formerly known as The Management) is all the buzz these days. Dynamic duo Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden have come a long way from their dorm room at Wesleyan where they first formed the band, without even really intending to."We were just hanging out, showing each other music that we liked," says Goldwasser of their early experimentation with electronica and noise rock which gradually morphed into their current unique sound. ‘An odd blend of hostile proto-electro punk art noise and the sardonic, studied, but ultimately pop-friendly sound of the Flaming Lips, MGMT started as electroclash musical terrorists but quickly transmogrified into an eclectic, brainy pop group with heavy psychedelic overtones.'-Star Pulse

After signing with Columbia Records in 2006, recording with Flaming Lips producer Dave Friedman in 2007, and being recognized by both Spin and Rolling Stone as up and coming artists for this year, it's safe to safe MGMT is on fire.
