LA2DAY Premiere Review: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

(Minor Spoilers Ahead)
I don't know about you but every time I hear that rousing Indiana Jones theme my heart starts to race, so, I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to seeing this latest Indy installment, and... Film Fans, I was not disappointed. I thought it was smashing, definitely my cup of tea, with a great performance by Harrison Ford as a jaded and aged Indy getting right back in the saddle as if the last Indy film was just a year or so ago. Also terrific are Cate Blanchett, relishing her role as a sadistic Russian professor, and Shia LaBeouf as the son that Indy didn't know he had. Karen Allen also reprises her original role and fits right in. With lots of sly references to the other Indy movies, this is a lovely nostalgic adventure romp with wonderful (how did they do that) stunts, and flying monkeys, snakes, flying saucers, waterfalls, killer ants, killer Russians, British double crossers, dotty English professors, stinging scorpions, blow darts, quicksand, extra-terrestrials, and Errol Flynn type sword fights. You name it! Spielberg and Lucas cram it in. If this doesn't bring out the kid in you that cheered the heroes and booed the villains, then I give up. I loved it.
