Spa facials are fantastic, but at an average of $150 a pop, they aren't on the menu for many of us. Give your epidermis some love with one of these low-budget , homemade facials instead.
From aspirin to oatmeal, you can grab all the ingredients in a quick grocery run. If they're not already in your pantry or medicine cabinet, that is. Prep your skin with a quick wash, whip up your mask in minutes, and emerge a princess on a paupers penny.

Milk Of Magnesia Perfect For: Oily skin. It absorbs oil like no other. What You Need: Milk of Magnesia (plain) How To: Just rub it on, let it dry, then rinse with lukewarm water. |

Oatmeal Perfect For: Normal/ Combination skin. What you need: 1 egg, ½ cup oatmeal, 1 tsp olive oil How To: Spread on, leave for 15 minutes, rinse. |
Not only does Oatmeal serve as an effective exfoliating agent, but it's also good for oil absorption. Egg will tighten pores, smoothing and toning the skin, while the olive oil will lend a light moisturizing effect.

What You Need: 5-10 non-coated Aspirin, Water (Optional: Aloe vera or yogurt) How To: Crush Aspirin and mix with a very small amount of water to form a smooth paste. Mix with Aloe vera for added benefits or a small amount of yogurt to remove acne scars or blemishes. |

HONEY FACIAL Perfect for: Dry skin. What You Need: 1 tbsp Honey, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp olive oil How To: Beat egg yolk, add the oil, and blend well. Add the honey with a hot spoon and blend. Spread honey over skin, leave for 15 minutes. Rinse. |
Honey is a natural humectant, or moisturizer. It has the ability to draw moisture into the skin, helping to hydrate, smooth and soften your skin. It's also a powerful antioxidant, that can help combat the free radicals that cause premature aging. Follow with a light coat of olive oil if the skin still feels dry.
