Back on the Horse: Outdoors in Mammoth Environmental Festival
By Marisa Lynch FOR LA2DAY.COM 04 Aug 2008

If you haven't had a chance to get out of the city this summer, now is the perfect time!
The Outdoors in Mammoth Environmental Festival begins tomorrow and is a two day event full of free hiking field trips to local attractions such as the Mammoth Lake Basin and Hot Creek in Mammoth, CA. Enjoy nature while learning about how to live in an environmentally responsible manner at the same time.

Hit the trails with key-note speaker Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of Jacques, as he takes you through the Snowcreek Meadow Preserve on Wednesday morning. Learn about sustainable living from one of the world's most renowned environmental diplomats while breaking a sweat in the great outdoors .

Trading in traffic on the 405 for walks through lakes and mountains for a few days will do your body good.
