A Visionary Contribution Supports Lakers Playoffs Hopes

The Assil Eye Institute, one of the world's most famous and celebrated clinics for treating eye disorders, is offering a great block of tickets for the Lakers NBA first round playoffs against the Denver Nuggets to help raise funds for its charitable eye foundation, the Assil Sight Fund. A block of up to 4 tickets for each game of the Lakers - Denver series are being made available. The Assil Sight Fund is 501c (3) organization that benefits less fortunate patients who are in need of eye surgery, and is headed by renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Kerry Assil.
Few understand the true benefit of vision better than Dr. Assil. "What sustains me in the field," he says, "is knowing how valued the sense of sight is, and what an emotional and life-changing decision it is for people to have eye surgery. I celebrate with them after every surgery."
If you're not among the doctor's 30,000 patients, you may have seen Dr. Assil on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Extra, or Inside Edition. He has also authored more than 100 medical textbook chapters and articles, helped train thousands of other physicians, lectured at Harvard and Johns Hopkins, and has also earned the prestigious Jules Stein Living Tribute Award from UCLA, one of his alma maters.

Dr. Assil's innovative skills have made him a favorite with celebrities including Brad Pitt and Courtney Cox, basketball stars like LeBron James and John Salley, and relative unknowns like Lia de Firmian of Santa Barbara, California. De Firmian was nearly blind until Dr. Assil performed an innovative procedure that inserted plastic micro lenses behind her corneas to correct her severe myopia.
Dr. Assil is also at the forefront of the most recent techniques for eye disorders, including LASIK and treatments for treating cataracts and other sight-threatening disorders.
Now you have an opportunity to not only cheer for the Lakers in their quest for an NBA championship, but also help those who are in need of eye surgery and are unable to bear the cost on their own. All donations are tax deductible, but you better hurry, as these seats are going fast! All tickets are located in a great location - Section 111 (Lower Section, Center Court), Row 15. Go Lakers!
Please contact Maren Brown at (310) 651-2300, ext. 246 or mbrown@assileye.com with any questions.
