The Gavert Atelier Salon Revamps Damaged Summer Hair
BY Gena Oppenheim FOR LA2DAY.COM Jun 22, 2010
The sweltering heat of a Los Angeles summer rolls around and my hair suddenly goes from fabulous and runway-ready to a dead, lifeless entity on top of my head. Toiling to perfect my locks, which deflate seconds after walking outside, the heat melts away the once perfectly coiffed look I created in the air-conditioned indoors just moment before. Is that enough evidence to justify a "hair rescue me" plea?
Enter the Gavert Atelier Salon - a not so average Beverly Hills storefront that should have a "miracle" sign posted outside.
Walking in on a hot June afternoon, my comatose tresses and I didn't think anything could save us. But, within seconds my dyed, fried, and unresponsive locks were at the hands of the Gavert Atelier professionals, with no looking back.
Mika, my new hair guru of sorts, wasted no time in implementing the salon's renowned Five Step Conditioning Treatment. "Mika, no offense, but I don't think anything can revive my hair at this point," I retorted as she unveiled my wet locks from underneath a crisp towel. Wrong much?

Believe me or not, which I would for the sake of your hair alone, my once discouraged locks looked - dare I say it? - revitalized The Inphenom Treatment, which penetrates, internally repairs, seals, stabilizes, and coats the hair cuticle from the root, managed to bring my dragging do back up to par in less than an hour. I was no less than baffled and continued to search for an ounce of frizz in bewilderment
To top off my newly rejuvenated hair, I asked Mika for an easy, no fuss style for that evening's dinner I was meant to attend. While I had visions of deflated surrender hours before, she recommended the side braid, Hollywood's newest summer trend rocked by the likes of Nicole Richie, Kate Bosworth, and Rachel McAdams.
With a loose braid dangling down my left shoulder and a checkbook not even close to wounded, I walked out of there confident that my trendy do wouldn't freak and frizz at the mere sight of sunlight.
My hair and I thank you, Gavert Atelier.
53-year-old Stuart Gavert, owner of the star-studded salon, passed away on June 14, but his vision lives on everyday inside Gavert Atelier.
