We Love: Curtis & Co. Watches

One of the many things I enjoy about Los Angeles and the fashion it bequeaths are the many emerging artisans that come out of the woodwork. I recently had the great opportunity of stumbling upon a line of rare watches, so delicious and so mouth-watering, that I simply had to let the secret out and let you all know.

Curtis Wong, a well-versed, well-traveled, modern-day visionary, creates sumptuous timepieces integrating the tradition of old-world handiwork and present-day panache mixed in with the latest and greatest in chorographical technologies. All of which renders each and every piece a true work of art.

With the first installation of Curtis & Co., I notice that Wong creates colorful, multi-dimensional styling to fit anyone's lifestyle and affords both succinct form and formidable function. So whether you're a top-jock in sweats or a day-trader in your tailor-made sartorial three-piece suit, you can rest assured there is something that will peak your fancy.

I especially take a liking to the "Big Time - Dubai Limited" edition. This particular art form boasts a handsome, sapphire-crystal square face complete with a self-winding Tourbillion movement encased in polished stainless steel. Perhaps it's because of my Asian lineage but what really catches my eye with this particular gem are the intricately crafted Chinese characters paired majestically with a Chinese dragon that not only tells a delicate story but truly gives the watch a unique, luxe feel from the Far East.

Upon reviewing the smartly designed faces I couldn't help but feel a sense of glamour intertwined with mystique and humbleness much like the creator, Curtis Wong, himself. Quiet, uncompromising and unimposing in their own rites, these jewels make its - already - impressive list of Hollywood Elite purr anxiously for the second coming.

So the next time you've got a hankering and are in the market to upgrade the sundial that you've had since the Mesopotamian Era or are merely adding to your existing fashionable acquisitions, take a stroll into one of the few exclusive Curtis and Co. outfitters and experience the movement of these handcrafted wonders, first-hand. If it's good enough for Tom Cruise, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna then it's most certainly good enough for you, too! And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, I'll have the honors of actually owning one of these decadent lovelies in the foreseeable future. (It's nice to set goals in life, right?)

So move over Rolex - there's a new kid on the block that's giving all purveyors of time a run for their money and it's moving up to the front of the line at an unobstructed, unequivocal and dashingly exponential rate.
