The List: The Top 5 Items Found at Scout

From tie-dyed skins to cast iron jewels, Los Angeles' Scout Boutique on the Third Street Strip has an array of pieces from their new Spring 08 line that conjures images of clouds swirling in a dream of silky velvet seduction. Here are some of the highlights waiting to be snagged by those who dare.

5. Bronze Horn and Bone Link Necklace ($598). When I first laid eyed on this piece I thought it was from a 4th century dynasty, stolen from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I couldn't have been more far off. Brand-new and hand made with a Cleopatra flair, it is impossible not to feel regal and ageless when showcasing this metallic eye candy. Elizabeth Taylor would have been jealous.

4. Crushed Velvet Blusterier Dress ($278). It clearly speaks for itself. An early 90s skin tight slip cocktail dress with golden flecks that shimmer in the light and spark through the night. Cross neck straps show off the collarbone giving a unique look with the bustier chest cups. An oval back shows the smallest bit of skin, balancing the short length that shows legs for days.
3. Maroon Dress ($198) and Leather Bondage Belt ($398). This cotton frock hangs beautifully and breathes comfortably for those summer afternoons and warm evenings. With a cinched waist and symmetrical pockets, the half pirate/half housedress is complimented with dark brown modernized bondage flair of a belt.
2. Grey Suede Turban with Cast Pendant ($148). 1930s flapper fashion meets genie in a bottle! There is nothing more sophisticated and chic than a slinky suede turban with soft locks stemming from the brim. With a centerpiece of a cast-iron sun, you will naturally radiate when wearing this one of a kind hat.
