When most people think of shopping in Los Angeles, they think of places like Hollywood, Rodeo Drive, and Melrose. But venture to LA’s east side and discover a whole new world of style. Take at look at what these great stores have to offer, and next time you want something unique and out of the ordinary you’ll know just where to go!

PULL MY DAISY and SILVERLAKE SHOES
Pull My Daisy has been a staple store at the Sunset Junction for many years and features both local designers from the east LA scene and designer brands for less money than you’d expect. Check out their trendy and affordable accessories like manga wallets and toy gun earrings. Then take a stroll just down the street to their sister shoe store for fun and trendy flats, heels, and boots. Before you leave don’t forget to pet the store’s mascot, Bingo the wiener dog.

RAGG MOPP VINTAGE
Ragg Mopp vintage carries a great selection of 1920’s to 1970’s Vintage and retro clothing and collectables. Specializing in unique dresses and accessories, Ragg Mopp vintage is the place to go for that one of a kind prom dress, rhinestone necklace, or, for guys, that perfect cowboy shirt.

OOU
Oou is a high end boutique which carries designer brands and trendy fashions for the perfect night out. From skinny pants to hand printed tunics to scented candles and perfume, Oou has everything you need to give your home and yourself that super trendy edge.

VELVET THREADS
This unique store is run by one of Hollywood’s leading wardrobe stylists to the rock stars. The store’s owner Evita Corby used to be the wardrobe stylist and friend of Iggy and the Stooges. She has a great rock and roll/vintage style to her store, not to mention cool furniture and accessories. The amazing selection of hard to find local designs and vintage make this store a diamond in the rough.

PANTY RAID
Watch out, Victoria’s Secret! Panty Raid is Silverlake’s premier lingerie store. Although it may be a little pricey, shopping at this high-end lingerie store will make you feel like a million bucks. Find brands like Cosabella, C & C California, and more. Expensive, but worth every penny.

GHETTOGLOSS GALLERY
Featuring everything from Xlarge clothing company to Moon Zappa and Lisa Loeb, this gallery is on the underground art scene’s cutting edge. They have a definite "Juxtapoz" magazine feel to them, and sport a cool clothing store where the artists can sell their wares and buyers can wear their favorite pieces for all to see.

PURPLE CIRCLE
When you’re done shopping at Oou take a quick walk down the street to Purple Circle and get the perfect hair for your new wardrobe. Specializing in extensions and dreadlocks, Purple Circle is the place to go for that funky, fun haircut.
