Born as a private label for the online retail store and promotion company apartment3, it quickly became apparent to Kristin Knauff and Christiaan Gunther that three-LA had a niche all its own.
Born from the streets of LA, it's only fitting that each collection takes it queue from a Los Angeles hotel and the milieu and style that surrounded it. Taking from the classic old Hollywood glamour of the Biltmore Hotel, their first collection had traditional silhouettes and shapes to match. The Alexandria has more of a 1970s feel, with a bit of a Dangerous Liaison vibe.
Today, Kristin Knauff and Christiaan Gunther sit down with us to discuss cavemen, twisted seams and Marie Antoinette.

Who is the most stylish person you've met? Lubov Azria creative director of BCBG - effortlessly chic without being contrived.

What is your least favorite article of clothing? My slippers-I only wear them when I am home alone - visually they are horrendous but they are so comfortable!
In which period of history do you think people dressed the best? In France just before the revolution - money was of no object!
In which period of history do you think people dressed the worst? Which was the period where they lived in caves and wore loincloths and fur?
Is there one item that has gone out of style that you wish would come back? Twisted seam denim from Levi!
Is there one item that is in style that you wish would go out? Skinny jeans...enough already!
