LA2DAY's Leah Melby has been flittering her butterfly wings from one show to the next at New York's Fashion Week and this morning cast her brown eyes on Lela Rose's S/S 09 collection. After the show, Leah had the chance to sit down with Rose and query her from our Questionnaire wherein they discussed smiles, belly rings and Paris Hilton.
Who is the most stylish person in the world? My mother.
Who is the least stylish person in the world? Paris Hilton.
Who is the least stylish person in history? I can't think of the least stylish. I mean, there are so many people who don't have style but you can't really knock them for it. They just try and don't really get it but at least they're trying.
In which period of history do you think people dressed the best? I'm partial to the 50s. I've always loved the 40s and 50s but specifically the 50s.
In which period of history do you think people dressed the worst? Definitely not into the 70s, early 80s.
If you were to give the world a make-over, how would you style it? With a smile...
Is there one item that has gone out of style that you wish would come back? Let me think... I'm going to get back to you on that one.
Is there one item that is in style that you wish would go out? Oh there's plenty. Belly rings. There are a lot of in style things right now I wish would go away and go away for good.
What are you wearing right now? Lela Rose, Spring 2009. I'm ahead of the game.
Are you afraid of Anna Wintour? Do I have to answer that honestly? No, I'm not afraid of her...
