Questionnaire: Buffalo Exchange
By Samantha Nguyen FOR LA2DAY.COM 17 Aug 2008

As gas continues to guzzle our paychecks, people are finding creative ways to stretch their shrinking dollar. Fashion boutiques all over Los Angeles have felt the strain as consumers are looking for other options to update their wardrobe.
With numerous locations in Los Angeles, Buffalo Exchange was the first store to buy, sell and trade clothing items on consignment. Instead of forking out your hard earned money, rummage through your closet and trade in your old clothes for cash or other items available at the store. With the inventory constantly changing, you'll be sure to find extraordinary one-of-a-kind pieces.
Not only will you be getting a steal on vintage and designer wear clothes and accessories, Buffalo Exchange is a sustainable company that works to protect the environment by recycling and reusing clothing. They have donated over $265,000 to local nonprofits through the "Tokens for Bags" program, where customers are encouraged to take a token instead of a plastic bag for their purchase. Buffalo Exchange will then donate 5 cents to a charity of the customer's choice.
We sit down with Amme Milton, Manager of Buffalo Exchange's La Brea store, to discuss efforts in being eco-friendly, Hillary Clinton and bras.
Who is the most stylish person in history? Coco Channel and Woody Allen.
Who is the least stylish person in history? Hillary Clinton during the Clinton era... Sorry, but those "power suits" were unflattering.
If you were to give the world a make-over, how would you style it? I would make it more eco-friendly, but that's it. I think diversity is essential in fashion.
What is your least favourite article of clothing? Turtlenecks and bras.
In which period of history do you think people dressed the best? The 60s, London.
In which period of history do you think people dressed the worst? The 90s, USA.
Is there one item that has gone out of style that you wish would come back? Not really. I'm too swayed by the trends. Fashion has always held me captive!
What are you wearing right now? A floor length ethnic print dress and gladiator sandals.
What do you wish you were wearing right now? I like my outfit. Wouldn't change it.
Are you afraid of Anna Wintour? Who isn't?
