Project Blogway: Le Fin of Fierce!
By Marisa Lynch FOR LA2DAY.COM 06 Mar 2008

Hello fellow Project Runwayers. Resident fashion reality show addict Marisa here giving you the lowdown on our favorite Wednesday night, not so guilty pleasure.
It's week 14. The last one of the season. Bryant Park is calling......
10:01-'I'm nervous and scared,' from the mouth of Christian. I wonder if he's taking the caffeine pills like Jesse Spano from SAVED BY THE BELL? She was more excited and scared, though.
Cocky, confident Christian has taken a small hiatus from this weeks episode says Tim Gunn. I'm slightly surprised as well.
Jillian, Rami and Christian head to their model casting and Christian finds the ones with fierce tallness and who can walk for days. ‘Gorg, 5' 10', love.'
10:07-‘Are you ready, bitches?' You know there's pressure when sweet, warm Rami uses the word bitch.
At the fittings, Christian's model has some trouble walking in his ‘flawless' shoes, that are 9 inches tall. "I worked it around my apartment in those shoes for like a week.....and if I can do it, these ladies can do it."
C says goodnight to his models leaving them with these words of wisdom. "Don't be late bitches, look fabulous, be really skinny, don't eat.' And who says the fashion industry is over the heroin chic?
Jillian begins second guessing her model choices. Rami deems her the most indecisive person in the world......and annoying. I concur.
Tim Gunn gets schmaltzy with the contestants at their last pow wow and group hugs them on the eve of their big runway show! Papa bear to the little cubs, is Tim Gunn who says that they're his inspiration. They're the meaning in his life......cue Peter Cetera.
The final 3 designers make their way to Bryant Park bright and early. ‘There's something about fashion week in New York City is sorta like standing directly in front of the heartbeat that pumps the blood stream in the fashion industry in this country.' Whew, Rami, that's a philosophical mouthful at 5 am or you're still slightly jetlagged or hungover.
‘The runway was like sooooo long. It's gonna be like a 45 minute show walking down,' says Christian.
Backstage was hectic, full of steaming, stitching and prepping. Christian was furiously making sure that his Colonial Williamsburg collection looked Colonial Wiliiamsburgy, VA, not Brooklyn.
‘Where my 2 girls at,' rants Christian. ‘From the front to back, well is you feeling that, well put one hand up.' Those lyrics by 702 could have literally come from Mr. Fierce's mouth himself.
A barrage of former Project Runway contestants fill the screen.....Jack from this season, 3rd season's contestant Andrae, first season winner Jay McCarroll, and Bravo TV all stars AKA the peeps from Top Chef (Padma Lakshmi) and Make Me A Supermodel (Tyrese and Niki Taylor) not to mention Runway producer Harvey Weinstein in the audience. Do you see his new wifey Georgina Chapman of Marchesa fame anywhere?
Now all we need the crazy house flipper dude and the one matching up the millionaires and we're all complete with Bravo's pay roll.
As the show gets ready to begin, it's the end of the road, says Rami and he can't let it go. Just like Boyz II Men.
The cameras pan to the front row where there is a Posh Spice sandwich. Mrs. David Beckham herself, Victoria is the special guest judge and Heidi Klum sits between her and Michael Kors who looks like a wannabe Karl Lagerfeld. One who is from Long Island and rocking the shiny aviators that he bought on the corner of 8th Ave and 34th Street en route to the tents.
RUNWAY SHOW TIME, y'all!!
JILLIAN
Jillian is first up and begins with lots of tailoring and fitted helmet-esque hats to accompany.
Lots of jackets, as she's good with the outerwear, and beautiful knits.
RAMI
Rami comes next and begins his show by exclaiming his celebration of women! Let's hear it for the girls! A short blue slightly drapy dress begins and then comes the grey/black ensemble that won him his spot in the show last week.
Some ruffled blouses and equestrian pants come next finishing up with red carpet gowns in gold, black and vintage lace.
CHRISTIAN
Christian sashay's onto the stage to finish off the show and notes how ‘everybody looks fierce.' The fierce count this season has made its way into the hundreds.
Lots of black looks start it off. Black hats, ruffle skirts and leathery turtlenecks.
He finishes up with a feathered dress and a ruffle ombre number that looks like neapolitan ice cream without the strawberry.

The judges were blown away by everyone's collections and all said BRAVO to congratulate the contestants. Really?? Was that in their contracts??
Posh loved Jillian's attention to detail while MK loved the modern femininity and the knits. Nina Garcia felt it a little disjointed.
Christian has found a new fan in Vicky Beckham. She loved all of his pieces and called him MAJOR. Kors thought that the final dress was spectacular and Nina said that it opened strong and dramatic.
Heidi Klum loved Rami's collection and adored the weaving. Kors calls him cerebral and Posh thought his last 2 dresses were phenomenal.
The judges make their final decision and Jillian gets auf'd first. She's surprised and disappointed but loved all her work. Christian is in tears next to Rami awaiting the anointing of the winner and as the envelope is opened CHRISTIAN comes out on top!
‘Well, hello did you have a doubt? Come on. What up. I'm like really excited, but let me tell you, I am taking like a VA-CA! I need a breaky-break.' From the 21 year old mouth of the winner himself.
Christian Siriano, signing out.
In this final week of competition we've learned that Posh and Christian go to the same hairdresser, Rami can do more than drape, and major is the new fierce.
Until next season, Auf wiedersehen.
