Los Angeles Fashion, LA Shopping, Designer and Boutique reviews

Lady…

Camille De Soto should be pronounced as the latest and greatest vintage queen! Her boutique nestled next to an old book store on the up and coming Eagle Rock Boulevard is a must stop for anyone whose looking to redefine their personal style.

I overheard a couple of my coworkers raving about a new store in Eagle Rock called ‘Lady’ a few weeks ago and I couldn’t help but to drive to the store right after work and see what all the fuss was about . As it turns out, the owner and young fashionista, Camille, has always had an eye for spotting the latest trends. Her charming modern store houses a wide variety of apparel, each piece hand selected individually by someone with a good eye. It's obvious where this intricate sense of style comes from as her mother, being her biggest influence, would take Camille to the mall practically every day after school and they would scour the stores looking for new ideas. She even has a beautiful portrait of her hanging behind the desk as a reminder of what true elegance is all about.

Camille calls her boutique ‘my Angelino dream’ because it’s close to home and of the immense support she has gotten from her neighboring independent stores. It truly is a dream, how often do we get to do what we love doing and thrive from it.

“I wear everything from my store” she says while beaming with a smile as she sports a fantastic pair of yellow faux snake skin flats with a long gold chain around her neck, both available at ‘Lady.’

Camille is both modest and gracious about her ability to put together an outfit with latest designer pieces accompanied by vintage jewelry that her and her mom hand pick on the weekends. She has a deep sense of understanding as to the needs of women and in her words, ‘Lady is simply well edited and modern’. You can find great pieces ranging from $40-$180 or you can stop by and get a gift card for a friend that can appreciate good trends. The store is well equipped with great finds in vintage bags and must have shoes. If you’ve ever admired Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex in the City for her daring taste, this is the place for you to mix and match and come up with your own recipe of elegance and sophistication. Camille De Soto’s life long love affair with fashion has paid off and as expected she’s purely doing what she was always meant to do, making us all dress well.
