Boutique: Madison & Diavolina
BY Mei-Li Thomas FOR LA2DAY.COM Sep 8, 2009
For veteran LA and Robertson Blvd-specific shoppers, boutiques Madison and Diavolina are staples for style. Now located on West 3rd in a 7k sq ft location, Emily and Mark Goldstein are turning their passion for design and art into a lifestyle. With many boutiques being driven out to the Robertson area due to rising rent and shrinking revenues, the Goldstein's make magnificent out of a possibly grim situation.
As a lover of high, high heels (Diavolina please!) I, (er, feet) was very pleased to find that the two boutiques are adjoining and provide a 20-space parking lot right in the rear of the building. These Pour La Victoire boots weren't made for walkin'; they were made to be seen, as were the interiors of each boutique.

The wood accents of Madison give it the authentic feel of a gallery, and the elongated lighting rows and designer furniture top off its elegance. The fun play of pink and leopard are exactly what one would expect from Diavolina. Described, as have two different "personalities" together Madison and Diavolina make for a well-rounded retail experience.
"Emily and I are very excited," states Mark Goldstein, "The clothing and accessories will be more sophisticated, unique, and different than our previous location on Robertson Blvd." And that they are!! Showcasing names such as Balmain, Marni Winter, Andrea Lieberman, and Grai, stepping up your zip code also means stepping up your dress code!
