Boutique: H-L-N-R

We may not be living in Washington or Oregon, but the residents of Los Angeles are no stranger to being eco-friendly and going green. It was only a matter of time before there became a fashion outlet entirely devoted to conserving energy and protecting our trees - and a high-end boutique to boot! After all, doing something for a good cause always goes hand-in-hand with something upscale and chi-chi - especially here in LA.

HLNR

H-L-N-R is the world's very first all-green, eco-friendly high fashion boutique. Sure to appease not only the earth-protecting - but also those few with AMEX Black cards - this upscale apparel spot features its Viktor & Rolf, Herve Leger and Zac Posen designs on racks made from curly maple - matte, satin, and gloss - repurposed from a 1950s bank in Turin, Italy. The rooftop of the establishment is covered with solar panels, the steps of the store are made of recycled wood, the bathroom is paperless (Eco-faucet, Dyson dryer, and Toto paperless toilet) - hell, even the receipts are paperless, they are sent via email. Additionally, around twenty-five percent of the designers featured in H-L-N-R are Eco-friendly as well.

HLNR

Located a little ways down from The Ivy and the hustle and bustle of the prime of Robertson, H-L-N-R secures its spot in a section of the boulevard, near the Melrose intersection, standing apart from the boutique surrounding it (and not just in the Eco-friendly sense).
