Boutique: Dussault Motel

The Dussault Motel on Melrose Avenue has a vacancy and is awaiting your arrival.  This 70s style boutique is set up like the Bates Motel parlor kitschly coupled with an old jukebox, vinyl booths and pics of Farrah Fawcett, Schlitz Beer and Donny & Marie Osmond on the walls.

Dussault

Designer Jason "Deuce" Dussault draws inspiration from literary works such as Hinton's The Outsiders and Ray's Rebel Without A Cause, blending nostalgia with the future in his line of tees, hats, and hoodies.  Featured near a wall mural with a forest screen and amidst a mounted head of a buck, a glass cabinet houses Dussault's bronze and reclaimed silver jewelry as well as pieces from Gene Simmons' Moneybag line.

Dussault's retail location is as much about the experience as the clothing thanks to some of Hollywood's expert set designers who created the space.  The little details are what make the store so unique.

Dussault

I doubt you'll find another store with furry seats in the dressing room and 70s porno mags lining the walls, or a VIP/ski chalet themed room in the back with a wood cabin feel complete with paneled walls, a stocked bar, darts, and cold air.

Once you check into the Dussault Motel, you may not want to check out.
