Thank God the writer's strike didn't affect this year's Grammy's!  I just couldn't bear to let another red carpet event go by without doing my usual best and worst dressed list.  The WGA got us last month with the Golden Globes.  I could really care less about the best movies of the year; I'm just disappointed that I couldn't see Hollywood's finest in overpriced designer creations.  Fortunately, the 50^th Annual Grammy Awards isn't really that important to the writer's, so the show still went on. 

Last night at the Staples Center, some people performed, some people got awards, blah, blah, blah.  The most important part of the night was the red carpet arrivals.  There were a few great looks and a few bad ones.  Here's my list of the Best and Worst Dressed at this year's Grammy's...

BEST DRESSED

Fergie

The bride-to-be was gorgeous in this yellow Calvin Klein gown.  I'm so used to seeing her on stage in mini skirts and colorful knee high socks that it was a bit of a surprised that she could be so glamorous.

Beyonce

I absolutely adore this powder blue Elie Saab gown.  I'm not too sure about the two-toned hair, but the ensemble is great.

Faith Hill

You can't go wrong with Valentino!  Faith looks beautiful in the one shoulder black gown. 

Alicia Keys

The talented songstress was glowing in Armani.  I really like the red purse which adds a bit a color to the already fabulous look.

Ne-Yo

I decided to add a guy to my list since we usually focus on women.  I'm feeling Ne-Yo's get-up.  Not many men can pull off a hat on the red carpet.

WORST DRESSED

Corrine Bailey Rae

Actually, someone a lot more fabulous could've pulled off this cocktail dress with the right shoes and accessories.  But for Corrine, it just didn't work.

Chris Brown

Lawd knows I LOVE me some Chris Brown.  But what the hell does he have on?!  He looks like he should be in a circus guiding tigers through fiery hoops. 

Cher

O-M-G!!!! Are you serious?! Cher, honey...you could not have thought you looked good when you left the house.  The wig is a mess and the top of the dress looks like she got into a fight with her cat.

Bai Ling

Ummm....NO COMMENT.

Solange

Okay, Solange is on this list by default.  I by no means like the dress but I really tried to find someone else to finish my list off.  She was on my last worst dressed list and I wanted to cut Bey's lil sis some slack. Unfortunately, she made it again with this black puffy dress mess. Maybe next time Solange.
