The (S)avant Guide: Art for the Week of November 18-23

What's this? Rembrandt in Southern California? Wait a minute... Rembrandt is always in Southern California! The Getty, however, has organized a virtual exhibition bringing LA's coveted Rembrandt holdings together in one easily accessible place - the Internet.

Online only: www.rembrandtinsocal.org
If the idea of a virtual exhibition seems like the saddest, laziest thing in the world to you (because it is), think of it more as a guide, like a star map or a Rembrandt scavenger hunt! But if art made before television was invented doesn't pique your interest, see below.

Devils, weird animals and mythical creatures act as subject matter for this collection of paintings, drawings and prints. The participating artists might be better known for their work with a needle than with a brush, but here is a chance to see some of their pain-free creations.
