This week I am promoting the Brewery Artwalk. I headed to the Brewery last week to get in on the hub-bub and basically The Brewery is the place to go this weekend.

Top Five Reasons to Go:
-Fantastic art from the pros to the up-and–comers
-The opportunity to see inside the studios behind the work
-The chance to meet and chat with the artists themselves
-Open for 2 days with daytime hours leaving plenty of time to still hit the clubs, do the laundry, or whatever you do
-It’s FREE to attend

Bonus Reason to Go:
-The Brewery is in an Old Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery

Extra Bonus Reason to Go:
-You won’t look like an idiot among all the cool people who will be talking about the Brewery Artwalk

The Brewery Artwalk is a twice-annual free event showcasing Los Angeles Fine Artists selling gallery-quality fine art at studio prices. The Brewery Art Colony consists of three hundred twenty oversized artist lofts converted from the former Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery. Zoned for live/work, the lofts house hundreds of artists working in dozens of media – from painting, sculpture and photography to industrial design, architecture and experimental new media. The Artwalk offers visitors a unique chance to walk door to door to visit artists in their workspaces.

This weekend, 125 studios will be open, housing both renowned and undiscovered artists as well as the occasional avant-garde experimentalist pushing art's boundaries.

Shopping for art at an artist’s studio allows you to meet the creative force behind the work and discover its inspiration. Be sure to check out the group show at the I-5 Gallery for a preview sampling of works by Brewery tenants.
